Centre for Social Excellence now accepting applications
TFT's Centre for Social Excellence (CSE) is now accepting applications for its fifth training session, which begins in January 2013.
Based in Yaoundé, Cameroon, the CSE trains graduate-level students in sustainable forest management.
For the first time, the new session will be taught in English and is open to graduates of universities and colleges across Central and West Africa.
The ten-month course includes a five-month internship at a forestry company. The CSE ultimately aims to help students in their future careers as forestry managers ameliorate the quality of the relationship between private companies (eg forest companies, plantations) and local communities.
Classes are kept small (10 places are offered) to complement the CSE's highly focused training. The application deadline is 31 October 2012.
