EU Timber Regulation update

 The European Commission has published the implementing Regulation No 607/2012.

This regulation provides detailed rules concerning the due diligence system and the frequency and nature of checks on monitoring organisations as outlined previously in Regulation (EU) No 995/2010.

The Regulations make useful reading for those who are placing timber and timber products on the European market and want to understand their legal obligations.
